Day9 Kings Canyon to Alice Springs

It’s an early start today for the 430 km drive to Alice Springs. The kids are now accustomed to the routine of getting up, eating, packing the caravan, hitching up and getting underway. We have the jobs and their order established and we can easily be ready in an hour. Once we start driving, Sarah conducts the day’s ‘school’ lessons for each child and then they are allowed onto their various DVDs, ipods, etc. Often the comments during the lessons provide the driver a humorous distraction from the boredom of the road. We arrive in Alice around 3 and decide we will have the rest of the day free and just a brief look around tomorrow. It’s been a long few days and we’re all ready for a rest.
